In Malawi, a severe shortage of eye care professionals limits effective blindness prevention and treatment, leaving millions without access to essential vision care.
At the Department of Optometry, we are committed to closing this gap by training clinically and professionally adept optometrists. Our graduates are equipped to manage refractive errors, diagnose and treat eye diseases, implement low vision strategies, and collaborate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
