
Biography
Donald Phiri is a lecturer in the ICT department at Mzuzu University and a PhD candidate at Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST). His research focuses on ICT-driven mobility solutions for higher education institutions, aiming to develop sustainable and affordable transport systems for students and staff.
Mr. Phiri has extensive experience in technology, education, and digital innovation. His work includes coordinating the development of study hacks and Milab virtual learning tools tailored to Malawi’s secondary schools. He is currently working on mobility-as-service research for resource-constrained universities.
His academic and professional interests span user-centred design, digital platforms, data science, and the application of emerging technologies to solve real-world challenges. He is actively engaged in research, consultancy, and industry collaborations that bridge the gap between academia and practical technological solutions.
