The programme, which runs for four academic years, provides job opportunities for ethically oriented teachers in public and private education institutions. The programme requires students to register for five courses (teaching subjects and education courses) in a semester. Besides learning theoretically, during their four years, students are also required to engage in Teaching Practice and, conduct and write a research report.
Entry Requirements
To enroll into the programme, one is required to have a Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent obtained not more than three years from the time of application with an aggregate of six credits in the best six subjects obtained in not more than two sittings and at least credits in English (Language or Literature), and in any three of the following subjects: Geography, History, Bible Knowledge, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and Social and Development Studies.
