Ministry of Education, MZUNI launch Virtual Science Lab (MiLab) App
Ministry of Education, Mzuzu University and United Nations Development Programme on Friday 14th October, 2022 launched the Virtual Science Lab (MiLab) App which was developed by Mzuzu University Students and members of staff in the Department of Information, Communication and Technology.
The launch was attended by Secretary for Education Mrs Chikondano Mussa, Mzuzu University Vice-Chancellor Professor John Kalenga Saka, Malawi Deputy Resident Representative Mr Challa Getachew, Director of Science, Technology and Innovation Assoc. Professor Chomora Mikeka, secondary school students’ representatives and teachers.
MiLab is an application that provides educators and students with interactive, gamified simulations of laboratory experiments for secondary school. This means students and educators who have limited resources or have no laboratories will be able to create a blended learning experience where traditional experimentation methods are complemented by the more illustrative, interactive and flexible MiLab experience.
