Mzuzu University Vice-Chancellor Professor Wales Singini says CIMPA School is capable of fostering meaningful collaborations, further studies and research in Mathematical Sciences and related areas. Professor Singini was speaking on Monday during the opening of CIMPA School on Coding Theory and Its Applications hosted by Mzuzu University. The international school, which will be held from August 6 – 19, 2023, has attracted participants from Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, Cameroon, Madagascar, South Africa, Vietnam, and Switzerland. The School has also attracted lecturers from Mzuzu University, University of Malawi, Malawi University of Science and Technology, the University of Pretoria in South Africa, University of the Western Cape in South Africa, Florida Atlantic University in the USA and the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland. The school has been organised with support from the International Centre of Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA), the International Mathematics Union – Commission for Developing Countries (IMU-CDC) and Mzuzu University.
