Mzuzu University (MZUNI) Vice-Chancellor Professor Wales Singini has urged members of staff to work as a team to achieve the University’s aspirations. Professor Singini made these remarks on Friday during the engagement with Library Staff on team work and staff performance expectations.
“To unlock the full potential of the University, let us all appreciate the five pillars of the new strategic plan which set targets for all of us. However, it is important to understand that team work is a foundation of success. We are here today to motivate each other and find ways of enhancing our performance,” he said.
The pillars of Strategic Plan: Unlocking the Full Potential of Mzuzu University are; Optimum students’ experience whose strategic goal is to inspire students’ success through development of appropriate knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience for professional careers and employment by 2030; Business and investment whose strategic goal is to strengthen institutional financial and investment stability towards becoming financially autonomous by 2030; Research, and Innovation whos strategic goal is to generate new knowledge and innovations needed for economic development of Malawi; Internationalisation and Cooperation whose strategic goal is to strengthen academic and senior administrative staff with global knowledge and ability to interconnect from a global perspective by 2030; and governance and management whose strategic goal is to enhance the prosperity and sustainability of Mzuzu University by 2030.
