SPECIAL BRIDGING PROGRAMMES FOR LEVEL 1 STUDENTS IN ICT AND ENERGY PROGRAMMES STARTING IN JANUARY 2024

A) INTRODUCTION 

With support from World Bank and the Malawi Government, Mzuzu University (MZUNI) is running a Skills for a Vibrant Economy (SAVE) Project. One of the result areas of the Project is to increase access to skills training programmes in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Renewable Energy Technologies. One of the outcomes of this Project is to increase retention and completion rates of female and vulnerable students through bridging programmes. The students are expected to learn basic science courses to enhance their scientific knowledge that is required for their smooth progression to higher levels. 

B) TARGET PROGRAMMES 

The University is inviting all Level 1 students selected into the following programmes to report at MZUNI Luwinga Main Campus on Monday, 15th January, 2024 to undergo bridging courses:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy Technologies – Generic
  2. Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology –

Generic iii.   Bachelor of Science in Data Science – Generic 

  1. Bachelor of Science in Data Science – Weekend
  2. Diploma in Information and Communication Technology – Weekend
  3. Bachelor of Education (Information and Communication Technology) – Generic
