The department of Biomedical Sciences in the Faculty of Health Sciences, was born in 2007 at Mzuzu University.  It started with five up-grading students and seven generic students.  Up-to-date, the department has graduated three cohorts of up-grading students and three cohorts of generic students.

By August 2015, our fourth group of graduates both up-grading and generic will emerge.  The department has six members of academic staff, one Laboratory Technician and one Secretary.
