The ACENUB project involves the construction and operationalization of a complex dedicated to the study and application of neglected and underutilized species of flora and fauna in agricultural systems. The facility will include state-of-the-art laboratories for applied chemistry, biological sciences, fisheries, agri-sciences, and forestry. Each lab is designed to accommodate up to 60 individuals, promoting intensive research and innovation. Additional facilities include a 200-seat lecture theatre, an entrepreneurship hub, resource rooms, and offices, all designed to support a trans-disciplinary approach to learning and research. The project also emphasizes sustainable building practices and aims to integrate environmentally friendly technologies and designs that reflect the biodiversity focus of the centre.
