Biography 


Enock Tung’ande is a highly accomplished ICT professional and academic currently serving as Senior Lecturer and Acting Director of ICT at Mzuzu University. With a robust background in computer science and cybersecurity, he is passionate about protecting the interests of everyday internet users—advocating for user-centered security and privacy online.

He is a PhD Researcher at the University of Cape Town, specializing in Internet Security, DNS Privacy, Quality of Experience (QoE), Quality of Service (QoS), and Internet Measurements. His academic and research journey is rooted in leveraging technology to improve digital trust, especially across African contexts.

Over the years, Enock has held key leadership roles, including:

  • Lead Technical Specialist for the EDTECH EQUALS Project (Ministry of Education, Malawi),

  • Internet Measurements Consultant for the Internet Society,

  • Director of Technical Operations at TechNix Malawi, and

  • Team Leader for the Ministry of Agriculture’s Virtual Market System.

He has also supported numerous digital transformation projects, including Office 365 rollouts, ERP systems, and eHealth innovations. His work with organizations like PactWorld, Malawi Red Cross, and the College of Medicine reflects his commitment to meaningful, impact-driven ICT solutions.

Beyond academia and consulting, Enock is a certified ethical hacker, holds multiple tech certifications, and is a recipient of the Entrepreneurship Specialization Certificate from the University of Maryland.
